Job description
This role is focused on driving key software initiatives within Apple's Sensing & Connectivity software engineering group. The team delivers foundational wireless and sensor technologies across various Apple hardware platforms. The position requires strong communication and organizational skills to manage multi-functional efforts and collaborate with various teams. The individual will be responsible for owning the roadmap and improving program management processes.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of program or product management experience in software development.
- Knowledge of software engineering standard methodologies and related dependencies.
- Experience driving multi-functional efforts across major technical fields including software, hardware, design, silicon, and quality assurance.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Outstanding communication and presentation skills to engineers, managers, and executives.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to inspire team members.
Responsibilities
- Drive, own, and ship all aspects of large, multi-functional efforts and feature areas.
- Partner with engineering teams throughout feature development from architecture to validation.
- Proactively identify, prioritize, and drive resolution to program issues.
- Present and communicate new feature initiatives, top issues, risks, and critical achievements to executive leadership.
- Own the roadmap, priorities, prioritization, timelines, and technologies.
- Help the team with ongoing improvements to the program management processes.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Design, Quality, Hardware, Privacy, and Marketing teams.
