Job description

The Apple Cloud Networking team is seeking a candidate to build and operationalize platforms for hyper-scale network infrastructure. This role focuses on delivering critical software-defined network infrastructure that supports Apple's services globally. The ideal candidate will have a passion for high performance and reliability in large-scale systems. Collaboration and innovation are key components of this fast-paced organization.

Requirements

  • Strong passion for building, deploying, and operating platforms in large scale systems.
  • Experience in site reliability engineering, observability, distributed systems architecture, and networking.
  • Proficiency in compiled programming languages such as Golang.
  • Understanding of virtualization and containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Solid knowledge of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP and routing protocols.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms, architectures, and APIs.
  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Terraform.
  • Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
  • Outstanding communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Build and operationalize platforms for hyper-scale network infrastructure.

  • Work with bare metal systems and understand operating systems.
