Job description
This role is part of the Wireless Hardware group, focusing on the validation of cutting-edge wireless and PHY systems. The Wireless Systems Design Validation Team ensures that these systems meet rigorous performance standards across various critical parameters. Requirements
- BS degree and a minimum of 10 years relevant industry experience.
- Strong knowledge of wireless communication systems, with an emphasis on WiFi.
- Experience with cellular technologies is a plus.
- Strong programming skills in Python, Shell scripting, and/or C/C++/C# for test automation and data analysis.
- Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering; Master's or Ph.D. preferred.
- Deep understanding of key performance indicators and signal impairments in RF and baseband domains.
- Hands-on experience with silicon bring-up and wireless system testing in laboratory environments.
- Proven experience developing and automating tests for wireless systems, including test framework design and implementation.
- Experience with regulatory testing and certification processes, including emissions, spectral masks, band edge, and power compliance measurements.
- Proficiency with RF test equipment including signal analyzers, signal generators, and spectrum analyzers.
Responsibilities
- Validate cutting-edge wireless and PHY systems against rigorous performance standards.
- Collaborate with engineers to address complex technical challenges in wireless communication.
- Ensure that wireless systems meet key performance indicators and manage signal impairments.
- Develop and automate tests for wireless systems, including the design and implementation of test frameworks.
- Conduct regulatory testing and ensure compliance with emissions and spectral mask requirements.
- Utilize RF test equipment to assess system performance and reliability.
