Job description
The Camera Systems Engineering Group is seeking a position sensing systems engineer to lead the development of innovative camera technologies for Apple products. This role involves collaborating with various teams to enhance camera performance and create exceptional photography experiences. The engineer will apply systems engineering principles to connect use-case requirements to system-level and component-level specifications. The position requires a blend of technical expertise and creativity to tackle complex challenges in camera systems.
Requirements
- B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Engineering Physics, or a similar field.
- A minimum of 3 years of relevant industry experience.
- Experience with magnetic or optical sensing systems.
- Experience with mixed-signal electronics and/or signal processing.
- Experience with measurement science, calibration, or physical modeling.
- Experience with Matlab or Python.
- PhD in Electrical Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Engineering Physics, or a similar field.
- Experience applying systems engineering concepts and analysis.
- Experience with documenting engineering requirements specifications.
- Experience with statistical data analysis tools like JMP.
- Experience with magneto-static simulations using Finite Element Analysis tools like ANSYS or COMSOL.
- Experience leading projects independently and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Experience implementing behavioral models of sensing system signal chains in tools like Matlab or Python.
Responsibilities
- Lead product and technology development projects for camera systems.
- Collaborate with teams across Apple to research and design camera hardware.
- Conduct systems-level analysis and development of new camera features.
- Qualify camera technologies for performance enhancement.
- Document engineering requirements specifications.
- Apply statistical data analysis to high volume manufacturing data.
- Implement behavioral models of sensing systems to evaluate performance.
