Job description

The HealthKit team at Apple is looking for an exceptional engineering manager to lead their efforts in improving health data management. This role involves overseeing a talented group of engineers dedicated to enhancing the storage, modeling, and computing of health information across Apple platforms. Requirements

  • 10+ years of professional software engineering experience including Apple platform technologies like iOS and macOS frameworks.
  • 3+ years managing engineering teams that design complex software systems.
  • BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent.
  • Demonstrable experience leading cross-functional projects that have had a tangible impact on the direction of the organization.
  • Strong organizational skills and experience working on large multi-functional teams.
  • Strong Computer Science fundamentals, object-oriented programming, and design skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and communication skills.
  • Extensive engineering experience with one or more Apple platforms such as iOS, watchOS, or macOS.

Responsibilities

  • Lead engineering efforts within the HealthKit team.
  • Support an existing and growing team to evolve HealthKit for an increasing amount and variety of health data.
  • Build new functionality to support health data related features.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance health features and data streams.
  • Ensure the systems for modeling, storing, moving, and computing over health data are continuously improved.
