Job description

Apple is seeking a highly motivated engineer to join the GPU Platform Architecture Team, focusing on the exploration of next-generation GPU architectures for iPhone, iPad, and Mac products. This role involves close collaboration with architecture, design, and software partners to define and enhance Apple's GPU power architectures. The engineer will be responsible for C++ and Python code development, as well as building and maintaining GPU models. This position offers the opportunity to work with experienced professionals and have a significant impact on high-performance product delivery.

Requirements

  • BS degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in GPU or CPU architecture and micro-architecture design
  • Proficiency in C/C++ and a scripting language such as Python or Ruby
  • Experience in modeling and knowledge of active power management strategies
  • Strong interpersonal and analytical skills

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with architecture, design, and software teams on GPU power architecture definition and tuning
  • Develop C++ and Python code for GPU models
  • Assess the feasibility of new hardware and software power features
  • Run experiments and report findings to the team
  • Work with cross-functional teams to solve design challenges
