The role is for an innovative engineer to join the GPU Platform Architecture Team at Apple, focusing on the exploration of next-generation GPU architectures for iPhone, iPad, and Mac products. This position requires strong analytical skills and collaboration with various disciplines to enhance GPU power architectures. The engineer will work on C++ and Python code development, building and maintaining GPU models. This is an opportunity to contribute to Apple's world-class GPU team and improve modeling and features for power architecture.

• BS degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering
• 20+ years of relevant experience in GPU or CPU architecture and micro-architecture design
• Proficiency in C/C++ and a scripting language such as Python or Ruby
• Experience in power modeling, active power management, and optimizing device power
• Experience with creating adaptive or machine learning-based algorithms
• Ability to work with complex designs from architecture to production
• Experience working as part of large cross-functional teams
• Interpersonal and analytical skills to solve design challenges
• Ability to travel internationally on occasion

• Collaborate with architecture, design, and software partners on defining and tuning GPU power architectures.
• Develop and maintain GPU models to enhance the power architecture of Apple's GPUs.
• Assess the feasibility of new hardware and software power features.
• Run experiments and report findings to improve GPU performance.
• Work closely with experienced GPU architects, RTL designers, and software teams.
