Job description
Apple is seeking a System Engineering Program Manager for the Watch System EPM team. This role involves leading a cross-functional team to develop Watch projects while managing and communicating issues and risks effectively. The successful candidate will work closely with engineering teams and Contract Manufacturer partners to ensure project success.
Requirements
- BS engineering degree is required.
- 4-8+ years of project management experience is necessary.
- Experience and familiarity with the consumer electronics industry is essential.
- Strong technical background in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering is required.
- A Master's degree in Engineering is a plus.
- 4+ years of experience working with Contract Manufacturer partners is required.
- Detailed knowledge of product development cycles and a strong understanding of manufacturing processes is necessary.
- Experience in setting up project schedules and work breakdown structures is required.
Responsibilities
- Manage the planning and execution of product prototype builds.
- Lead a cross-functional team of electrical, software, and mechanical engineers.
- Set and communicate clear objectives for the build schedule.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for the program with Contract Manufacturer partners.
- Lead multi-functional engineering team meetings to discuss design scope and set timelines.
- Ensure timely completion of projects.
- Understand the complexities of system integration and collaborate with teams.
- Facilitate feedback through the internal design review process.
- Maintain good communication and provide status updates to individual contributors and executive management.
