Job description

The Apple Advanced Technologies Group is seeking a motivated electrical engineer to design next generation touch sensors. This role focuses on delivering world-class user experiences through high-precision, low-latency multi-touch and stylus sensors. The team addresses complex multi-disciplinary challenges in areas such as circuit analysis, electro-magnetics, and algorithm development. The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to create innovative sensor module solutions.

Requirements

  • BS degree and a minimum of 10 years relevant industry experience
  • Strong analog/mixed-signal/electro-magnetic fundamentals
  • Ph.D or Master's degree in electrical engineering or a related field
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Solid teamwork and leadership skills
  • Hands-on experience with system-level design
  • Proficiency in FEA tools such as Comsol, ANSYS, Maxwell, MATLAB, Python, SPICE, or similar simulation and modeling tools

Responsibilities

  • Own the design and implementation of touch sensors
  • Build models to understand key tradeoffs in sensor design
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver sensor module solutions
