Job description
The Data Center Engineering Program Manager will lead efforts in aligning multiple teams at Apple to achieve key product objectives and drive new product development from concept to customer delivery. This role requires a passion for creating complex products and experience in guiding programs through hardware development processes. The manager will integrate hardware and software development into a cohesive program plan while managing schedules and risks. Effective communication with both the project core team and senior leadership is essential.
Requirements
- Minimum 6 years of Engineering Program Management experience
- Directly led at least 2 product development cycles for a system with hardware and software integration involved
- Proven experience in Program Management or Hardware Engineering and leading multiple teams in new product development
- BS degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering preferred
- Leadership skills and ability to inspire team members
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with teams to define system hardware, features, and schedule
- Manage program baseline, schedule, and risks
- Communicate project status to the core team and leadership
- Lead program baseline and active investigations
- Identify and highlight engineering risk areas
- Team up with engineering domain experts to develop mitigation paths forward
