Job description

The Display Architecture Validation Engineer role at Apple involves working within the Platform Architecture team to validate display sub-systems for Apple's application processor chips. This position requires collaboration with various teams, including Display and SoC architects, to ensure the architecture meets requirements across multiple Apple products. The role emphasizes engineering excellence and innovation in addressing technological challenges. Candidates will leverage their expertise in digital signal processing and image quality analysis to contribute to the development of cutting-edge display technologies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • MS in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science with 10+ years of relevant industry experience.
  • Experience in digital signal processing and its applications to image or video processing.
  • Understanding of digital image/video processing and image quality metrics.
  • Experience performing objective and subjective image quality analysis.
  • Knowledge of color science and the human visual system.
  • Familiarity with image processing pipelines such as display, camera, video codec, or computer vision.
  • Strong software engineering and programming skills in C++ and scripting languages like Lua and Python.
  • Effective interpersonal skills and ability to work across groups.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Validate the architecture and requirements for the display sub-system of Apple's SoC.
  • Collaborate with Display and SoC architects to support architecture validation.
  • Work with design and verification teams to ensure alignment with display technology.
  • Engage with software teams to facilitate the integration of display products.
  • Contribute to the evaluation of requirements and support the shipping of various display products.
