Job description
This role is part of the Wireless Hardware group, focusing on ensuring that cutting-edge wireless and PHY systems meet rigorous performance standards. The Wireless Systems Design Validation Team is responsible for driving test automation and validation methodologies that enhance product development. The position involves creating test infrastructure and automation solutions that will impact the success of next-generation wireless technologies. Candidates will work with advanced wireless communication systems, particularly in WiFi and cellular technologies.
Requirements
- BS degree and a minimum of 10 years relevant industry experience.
- Strong knowledge of wireless communication systems, with an emphasis on WiFi.
- Strong programming skills in Python, Shell scripting, and/or C/C++/C# for test automation.
- Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering; Master's or Ph.D. preferred.
- Deep understanding of key performance indicators and impairments in RF and baseband domains.
- Hands-on experience testing wireless silicon in laboratory environments.
- Proficiency with RF test equipment including signal analyzers, signal generators, and spectrum analyzers.
- Proven experience developing test automation, including equipment drivers, debug tools, automation scripts and interfaces.
- Experience with automation infrastructure development and related tools such as Git, CI/CD, databases, and reporting tools.
