As a Senior Web Platform Engineer at Apple, you will be responsible for building APIs and shared capabilities that empower product teams across the organization. • 8+ years of professional software engineering experience with a focus on front-end or full-stack web platform engineering at scale.
• Strong track record designing developer-facing client APIs that are versioned, ergonomic, backward-compatible, and well-documented.
• Proven experience building shared web platforms consumed by multiple internal product teams.
• Expert-level knowledge of modern JavaScript/TypeScript and web performance optimization techniques.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for producing clear architectural proposals and documentation.
• Solid experience with observability tooling and practices, including distributed tracing and structured logging.
• Deep understanding of web authentication protocols such as OAuth 2.0 and SAML.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD systems and build tooling.
• Genuine enthusiasm for agentic engineering and experience with AI agents.
• Experience with micro-frontend architectures and multi-tenant web application patterns.
• Familiarity with edge computing and server-side rendering strategies.
• Experience with accessibility standards at the platform level.
• Background in e-commerce or enterprise SaaS platforms.
• Experience contributing to or maintaining open-source developer tooling.
• Familiarity with platform engineering concepts.
