Job description

The Platform Architecture group at Apple is seeking an experienced systems engineer to support and develop new hardware/software interface technologies for chip development and verification. This role involves collaboration with engineers across Apple to build and deploy prototype systems that enhance the integration of hardware and software. The engineer will ensure that products perform as intended, contributing to the trust customers place in Apple's devices. The position requires a strong background in both software and hardware engineering.

Requirements

  • BS degree in Computer Science or related engineering field
  • 10 years of relevant industry experience
  • Experience programming in C/C++
  • Threading/concurrency experience
  • Experience with scripting skills such as Python or Lua
  • Excellent skills in SystemVerilog / VHDL and associated tools
  • FPGA design experience
  • Knowledge of industry standard protocols such as PCI and AXI
  • Experience with internal customer support
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and documentation skills

Responsibilities

  • Support the development of new hardware/software interface technologies for chip development and verification
  • Collaborate with silicon engineering teams on next generation chips
  • Ensure that every product performs exactly as intended
