Job description

The role is for an experienced systems engineer in Apple's Platform Architecture group, which focuses on integrating hardware and software into a cohesive system. The engineer will collaborate with various teams to develop and verify new hardware/software interface technologies for chip development. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring that Apple's products perform as intended, contributing to the reliability that customers expect. The engineer will also support silicon engineering teams working on next-generation chips.

Requirements

  • BS degree in Computer Science or related engineering field
  • 10 years of relevant industry experience
  • Experience programming in C/C++
  • Threading/concurrency experience
  • Experience with scripting skills such as Python or Lua
  • Excellent skills in SystemVerilog / VHDL and associated tools
  • FPGA design experience
  • Knowledge of industry standard protocols such as PCI and AXI
  • Experience with internal customer support
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and documentation skills

Responsibilities

  • Support the development of new hardware/software interface technologies for chip development and verification
  • Collaborate with silicon engineering teams on next-generation chip projects
  • Ensure that products perform exactly as intended
  • Contribute to the development of prototype systems
  • Provide internal customer support as needed
