This role is an opportunity for a support engineer to join a distributed team focused on the Apple Online Store, an elite eCommerce platform. The position requires deep technical knowledge to provide support to business and engineering teams. Strong communication skills are essential for translating complex technical topics into understandable terms. The engineer will also contribute to the development of standard practices and procedures within the team.
Requirements
- 3+ years of software engineering experience in a large-scale environment, with at least 2 years focused on Application Support Engineering.
- Coding knowledge in Java, Scala, and related frameworks.
- Good understanding of SQL.
- Experience in monitoring, alerting, fault analysis, and automation.
- BS degree or relevant job-related work experience.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Good knowledge of RDBMS, PL/SQL, NoSQL, and Unix Shell Scripting.
- Working experience on cloud infrastructure, like AWS.
- Experience with monitoring tools, APM, and observability.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support to business and core engineering teams.
- Distill complex technical topics into easy-to-understand language.
- Participate in the definition and evolution of standard practices and procedures.
- Drive triage of critical issues with multiple technical and business teams.
- Analyze technical issues and conduct root cause analysis.
