Job description
The role involves managing the development process for foundational IPs used in Apple custom chips, focusing on digital circuit design for various Apple products. The Engineering Program Manager will work closely with the Circuit Design Engineering team to drive project plans, resolve blockers, and ensure timely delivery of silicon projects. This position requires a blend of technical leadership and project management skills to navigate complex challenges and foster collaboration across multiple teams. The ideal candidate will have a strong desire to lead projects to success while maintaining effective communication with stakeholders.
Requirements
- BS in engineering field plus 3 years of relevant experience
- Proven digital circuit design experience
- Program or project management experience leading silicon projects
- 3+ years of technical leadership and/or project management experience
- Post silicon debug skills
- Strong communication and executive presentation skills
- Strong time and task management skills with consistent attention to detail
Responsibilities
- Drive the development cycle and address circuit design issues
- Collaborate with design, CAD, and technology teams to craft project plans
- Identify and resolve blockers in project execution
- Participate in technical discussions and contribute to scoping and scheduling
- Lead technical issue resolution to enable on-time silicon delivery
- Drive weekly schedule and communication meetings with upper management
- Ensure effective project schedule and dependency communication with the design team
- Continuously improve processes, methodologies, and tools
