As an ASIC STA Engineer at Apple, you will play a crucial role in the design and timing closure of advanced SoCs for high-end mobile applications. • BS degree and 10+ years of relevant industry experience.
• Hands-on experience in ASIC timing constraints generation and timing closure.
• Expertise in STA tools such as Primetime and methodologies for timing closure.
• Deep understanding of timing closure for various test modes including scan shift and BIST testing.
• Strong background in constraint analysis and debug using industry standard tools.
• Knowledge of timing corners, process variations, and signal integrity issues.
• Proficient in scripting languages such as Tcl and Perl/Python.
• MS degree and 8+ years of relevant industry experience is preferred.
• Solid understanding of low-power techniques including clock gating and multi-voltage designs.

• Own full chip and block level timing closure throughout the entire project.
• Generate block and full chip timing constraints.
• Ensure timing sign-off to meet requirements across all corners, modes, and conditions.
• Collaborate with diverse groups including digital design, DFT, and physical design.
• Implement improvements to existing methodologies and flows.
• Reduce the number of timing signoff corners by merging different timing modes.
