Job description
This role at Apple involves leading the Operations technical team in the development and high-volume production of next-generation products. The successful candidate will work closely with multi-functional teams to ensure operational success throughout the product lifecycle. The position requires a strong focus on product quality management, including driving key operational metrics and improving processes. Additionally, the role involves international travel and collaboration with off-shore manufacturers.
Requirements
- 3+ years of quality experience in New Product Introduction, Design Engineering, or Manufacturing Operations
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Optical, Materials, or Industrial Engineering or equivalent
- Strong statistical and data analytics skills, including statistical process control and sampling methods
- Experience partnering with off-shore manufacturers and high-volume production
Responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional Operations technical teams during product development and high-volume production
- Ensure operational technical readiness for all phases of the introduction cycle
- Drive process development, documentation, optimization, and validation
- Monitor Outgoing Quality Control and Customer Audit processes at OEM sites
- Conduct periodic reviews of Field/Factory Quality Data with OEM partners
- Generate monthly Product Health summary and provide regular VP level communication of technical health of the program
- Identify and drive quality improvement opportunities in future products
- Lead technical Failure Analysis to support root cause analysis and issue resolution
