Job description

The Wi-Fi Firmware Engineer will join a dedicated team focused on developing innovative firmware solutions for Apple's latest products, including iPhone, iPad, and more. This role involves driving the implementation and optimization of firmware and software design from early prototypes to productization. The engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful integration and testing of features. A strong understanding of wireless communications and collaboration skills are essential for success in this position.

Requirements

  • Fluency in C/C++ programming languages
  • Understanding of wireless communications and networking stack exposure
  • Knowledge of communication theory and ability to engage in technical discussions about wireless systems
  • Proficiency in Git or other code source management tools
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical or computer engineering or equivalent
  • Master's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent

Responsibilities

  • Drive the implementation and optimization of firmware and software design for Apple products
  • Document requirements and create design documentation
  • Evaluate performance on software and hardware prototypes
  • Analyze logs and push features through the build process into released software
  • Collaborate with extended teams in system, hardware, and PHY to complete joint effort features
