Job description

The Security Architect role at Apple involves working with a multi-functional engineering team to define, design, and verify security systems for groundbreaking products. The Security Architecture team aims to provide a robust security foundation for Apple's offerings by evaluating threats and architecting security solutions. Candidates will collaborate closely with software and silicon teams to ensure state-of-the-art security is integrated into both in-house and outsourced silicon chips. This position requires a strong background in both hardware and software security.

Requirements

  • BS in EE/CE, Computer Science or related engineering degree.
  • 20 years of relevant industry experience.
  • Experience in definition of secure systems.
  • Experience in threat modeling and weaknesses analysis.
  • Experience with SoC architecture.
  • MS or PhD in EE/CE, Computer Science or related engineering degree.
  • Solid background of applied cryptography.
  • Exposure to OS security.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Good knowledge of Verilog/VHDL.
  • Experience in C/C++ and interpretive languages such as Perl/Python.

Responsibilities

  • Define, design, and verify security systems.
  • Evaluate security threats and define security features.
  • Architect security solutions in collaboration with software teams.
  • Work with silicon teams throughout the design flow to ensure security integration.
