Job description

The New Product Operations Manager at Apple plays a crucial role in the development and launch of new products. This position requires a natural leader who excels in program management and can thrive in an ambiguous environment. The manager will communicate effectively across various levels and lead a team within Worldwide Operations. The main focus is to ensure successful product launches while meeting cost, quality, schedule, availability, and customer experience goals.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of industry experience in New Product Introduction, Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing Operations, Development or Operations Engineering, and Project Management.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related Engineering field such as Mechanical, Materials, Industrial, Chemical, or similar.
  • Ability to succeed in a matrixed environment.
  • Excellent program management and communication skills.
  • Exceptional ability to establish relationships and take action.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute all development builds and rapid ramps of new products.
  • Coordinate various Engineering, Global Supply Chain, Manufacturing Process & Quality engineering and CM's for NPI builds.
  • Drive a systematic phase gate approach to NPI development and program management.
  • Drive detailed schedules for key NPI equipment buy-off and validation.
  • Assess risks and prioritize program critical activities to ensure success.
