Job description

The New Product Operations Manager at Apple plays a crucial role in the development and launch of new products. This position requires a natural leader who excels in program management and can communicate effectively at all levels. The team is responsible for ensuring that product launches meet cost, quality, schedule, availability, and customer experience goals. The role involves coordinating various engineering and supply chain activities to ensure readiness for new product introduction builds.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of industry experience in New Product Introduction, Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing Operations, Development or Operations Engineering, and Project Management.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related Engineering field such as Mechanical, Materials, Industrial, Chemical, or similar.
  • Ability to succeed in a matrixed environment.
  • Excellent program management and communication skills.
  • Exceptional ability to establish relationships and a data-driven approach.
  • MBA or MS in Engineering is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute all development builds and rapid ramps of new products.
  • Coordinate various Engineering, Global Supply Chain, Manufacturing Process & Quality engineering activities.
  • Drive a systematic phase gate approach to NPI development and ramp readiness activities.
  • Drive detailed schedules for key NPI equipment buy-off and validation.
  • Constantly assess risk and prioritize program critical activities.
  • Simplify complex data and present it effectively to executives.
  • Drive process and quality improvements to enhance yield and equipment performance.
