Job description

As a Data Software Engineer in the Apple Silicon Technology group, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data infrastructure and software systems. You will collaborate closely with data scientists, analysts, and product teams to create reliable and high-performing data solutions. Your work will focus on optimizing data processing workflows and ensuring data quality and governance. This position is essential for enabling the organization to derive valuable insights from extensive datasets.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field plus 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Three or more years of experience in software development with a focus on data systems.
  • Proficiency in Python programming language.
  • Experience with Oracle SQL and database design principles.
  • Experience with Linux operating systems.
  • Proficiency in version control systems such as Git.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Experience in semiconductor or high-tech research and development (R&D) and manufacturing environments.
  • Master's degree in computer science, data engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in data engineering or data-focused software development is preferred.
  • Experience with Cassandra NoSQL database is preferred.
  • Familiarity with machine learning workflows and machine learning operations (MLOps) practices is preferred.
  • Experience with data visualization tools and business intelligence platforms is preferred.
