Job description
The Machine Learning Research Engineer will join the Apple Services Engineering team to design and develop AI/ML solutions that enhance user experiences across various Apple platforms. This role emphasizes collaboration with designers and engineers to create secure, end-to-end solutions while upholding Apple's commitment to user privacy. The engineer will leverage expertise in Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing, and Generative AI to impact how users discover Apple Media content globally. The position requires a strong foundation in AI/ML concepts and a passion for driving technical advancements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 2+ years of professional experience in the field of Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning (AI/ML).
- Proficiency in Python and experience with ML frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.
- Industry experience in Generative AI, Agentic AI systems, or Natural Language Processing (NLP).
- Solid understanding of modern machine learning concepts, including Transformers and LLMs.
- Master's or PhD in a relevant technical field.
- 4+ years of professional AI/ML experience with a track record of shipping production models.
- Deep expertise in Search and Information Retrieval.
