Job description
The Advanced Manufacturing Engineer at Apple is responsible for designing precision assembly and measurement processes for Apple products. This role involves researching and developing new technologies to address complex assembly and automation challenges that impact product quality and delivery. The engineer will also design and implement automated solutions based on sound engineering principles. Requirements
- 5+ years of strong work experience in precision assembly, inspection, and automation equipment.
- Bachelor's degree in an Engineering field.
- Master's degree in an Engineering field.
- Knowledgeable in crafting machine qualification requirements, design of experiments, and failure analysis.
- Understands build tolerance analysis for parts and assemblies.
- Understands machine qualification including calibration, correlation, capability, repeatability, and reproducibility.
- Able to communicate effectively in a worldwide environment.
- New product introduction and Manufacturing Operations experience.
- Proven track record of cost reduction, project management, and engineering design.
- Working knowledge of GD&T principles is favorable.
- Experience with NX, SolidWorks CAD, or ProE.
- Working knowledge of laser welding, robotics, pneumatics, motion controllers, or PLC and PC-based control systems.
- Experience with JMP, Minitab, and Six Sigma.
