Job description
Apple's Global Security team is seeking a skilled network engineer to design, implement, operate, and troubleshoot a global network that supports Apple's physical security infrastructure. The role involves working with high-availability networking, data center infrastructure, and Security Operations Centers on a 24x7x365 basis. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate strong problem ownership and initiative. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential for collaboration with other IT business units and vendors.
Requirements
- 5+ years configuring TCP/IP networks for host devices
- Excellent layer 1 through 3 troubleshooting skills
- Experience with packet analysis using tools like tcpdump and Wireshark
- Thorough understanding of VLANs, STP, VTP, and basic layer 3 routing
- Ability to diagnose host-based issues using tools like nmap
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Cisco CCNA certification
- Experience with hardware load balancing
- Experience with network automation using ZTP and Python
- Experience with IOS, IOS-XE, and NX-OS devices
- Experience monitoring and managing OpManager, Splunk, and Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE)
