Job description

As a member of the Manufacturing Design team at Apple, you will lead the development of quality processes for innovative parts. This role focuses on defining quality, metrology, and process requirements while shaping new manufacturing processes. You will have a significant impact on Apple products and contribute to the company's commitment to excellence. Your work will involve collaboration with various teams to ensure high-quality standards are met.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in manufacturing and Quality Control
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering such as Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering
  • Experience developing process quality plans and conducting supplier quality audits
  • Working knowledge of mechanical quality and reliability concepts
  • Experience with the development and evaluation of measurement systems
  • Project management experience and understanding of problem-solving tools

Responsibilities

  • Partner with tooling and functional teams to evaluate design and processes at the concept phase
  • Develop measurement technologies, control strategies, and manufacturing methods for production scale
  • Implement quality inspection tools to evaluate part characteristics
  • Compile and evaluate data to determine limits and variables for specifications
  • Lead activities to balance quality with scalable yields
  • Collaborate with internal and external groups to define quality expectations
  • Establish audit procedures to ensure alignment with Apple quality standards
  • Evaluate and communicate yields of new and existing processes
  • Drive corrective actions with team members
