Job description
Apple's Hardware Technology Engineering Program Management Team is seeking an Engineering Program Manager to support the Silicon Engineering CAD organization. This role involves driving the technical execution of projects related to data center builds, storage roll-outs, and silicon CAD design flows. The candidate will manage schedules and resolve issues across multiple projects while collaborating with various teams. The focus is on ensuring project plans are crafted effectively and all requirements are met.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree plus 3 years of proven experience.
- Chip design and/or CAD flow knowledge is required.
- Experience in front-end or back-end CAD tools/flows.
- Experience in engineering environments related to EDA or chip design.
- Experience with compute, storage, and network equipment in large HPC datacenters or understanding EDA tools and dependencies.
- Program/project management experience in Silicon or CAD projects.
- Proficiency with Gantt chart and program management tracking tools.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, collaboration, and leadership skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to encourage team members.
- Ability to filter and distill relevant information for the right audience.
- Ability to handle rapid development cycles and remain calm in uncertainty.
Responsibilities
- Own and drive high-level achievements by focusing the CAD team on meeting near-term landmarks.
- Unblock technical issues by coordinating with relevant multi-functional technical specialists.
- Run and track project schedules to ensure high-level achievement execution.
- Participate in early planning of new projects, including resourcing and scheduling.
- Assist with planning new project schedules and tracking them to completion.
- Drive weekly schedule and communication meetings with upper management.
- Ensure effective project schedule and dependency communication with dependent teams.
- Be hands-on and do what it takes to get things done.
