Job description
The New Product Operations Manager at Apple plays a crucial role in the development and launch of new products. This team consists of organized and detail-oriented individuals who excel in program management and communication. The manager will ensure successful product launches by meeting goals related to cost, quality, schedule, availability, and customer experience. Requirements
- 5+ years of industry experience in New Product Introduction, Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing Operations, Development or Operations Engineering, and Project Management.
- Bachelor's degree in a related Engineering field such as Mechanical, Materials, Industrial, Chemical, or similar.
- Ability to succeed in a matrixed environment.
- Excellent program management and communication skills.
- Exceptional ability to establish relationships and a data-driven approach.
Responsibilities
- Plan and execute all development builds and rapid ramps of new products.
- Coordinate various Engineering, Global Supply Chain, Manufacturing Process & Quality engineering and CM's for NPI builds.
- Drive a systematic phase gate approach to NPI development and ramp readiness activities.
- Assess risk and prioritize program critical activities while simplifying complex data.
- Drive process and quality improvements to enhance yield and equipment performance.
- Travel to Asia as required, approximately 25% of the time.
