  • Experience in designing for mass production
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Genuine curiosity and a sense of ownership

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with industrial designers, product integrity, hardware, software, and technology groups to refine and execute on product design.
  • Develop initial product layouts and generate concepts.
  • Prototype, demonstrate, and test designs to drive down-selection.
  • Partner with external vendors and internal manufacturing teams to optimize designs for function, cosmetics, and manufacturability.
  • Perform stress, tolerance, and failure analysis to ensure design meets requirements throughout its lifecycle.
  • Travel up to 20% in Asia to support factory builds.

Benefits

  • Employees at Apple are often offered comprehensive benefits that support physical and mental well-being—flexible medical plans, confidential counseling, onsite wellness centers at major campuses, and resources for fitness and daily life. Families typically receive fertility support, paid parental leave with gradual return, caregiving leave, and dependent-care guidance, while financial perks commonly include stock grants (with purchase discounts), 401(k) matching, and income-protection coverage. Employees also see robust time off, Apple University learning and tuition reimbursement, donation matching and paid volunteer hours, and deep product and partner discounts.
