Job description
As a Display Architecture Validation Engineer at Apple, you will work within the Platform Architecture team to address technological challenges related to display subsystems. This role involves collaborating with various teams, including Display and SoC architects, to validate SoC display architecture across multiple Apple products. You will leverage your expertise in digital signal processing and image quality analysis to ensure high standards in display technology. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- MS in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science and 10+ years of relevant industry experience.
- Experience in digital signal processing and its applications to image or video processing.
- Understanding of digital image/video processing.
- Knowledge of image quality metrics and experience in performing objective and subjective image quality analysis.
- Familiarity with color science and the human visual system.
- Understanding of image processing pipelines such as display, camera, video codec, or computer vision.
- Strong software engineering and programming skills in C++ and scripting languages like Lua and Python.
- Effective interpersonal skills and ability to work across groups.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Validate the architecture and requirements for the display sub-system of Apple's application processor chip.
- Collaborate with Display and SoC architects to support SoC display architecture validation.
- Work with design and verification teams to ensure the quality of display technology.
- Engage with software teams to facilitate the integration of display products from requirement evaluation to shipping.
