Job description

The CapEx Early Engagement Team at Apple operates at the intersection of manufacturing, engineering, and finance, focusing on optimizing the manufacturing process for new products. Team members are responsible for identifying and implementing improvements in equipment design, management, and procurement. This role demands a combination of engineering, data, and operations knowledge, along with strong program management skills. Successful candidates will contribute significantly to Apple's efficiency and bottom line.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in manufacturing operations
  • Bachelor's degree in an Engineering field
  • Master's degree in an Engineering field or MBA is preferred
  • Strong engineering/technical background in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Radio Frequency, or Electrical Engineering is preferred
  • Experience in manufacturing assembly and test equipment and/or automation design is highly preferred
  • Knowledge in data analysis using Python, R, VBA, or Tableau is desirable
  • Impeccable organizational, multi-tasking, and management skills
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, both verbally and in writing

Responsibilities

  • Identify opportunities to optimize the manufacturing process
  • Work with varied teams from engineering to procurement to influence project opportunities
  • Manage programs to ensure successful execution of identified opportunities
  • Contribute to the design and management of manufacturing equipment
