Job description

Join the Wireless Technologies & Ecosystems team to drive innovation in wireless connectivity for Apple devices. This role focuses on performance benchmarking and improving Wi-Fi system performance across Apple platforms. You will measure and analyze Wi-Fi and Bluetooth performance in various scenarios while building lab setups to simulate different conditions. The ideal candidate will thrive in a collaborative environment and be passionate about solving complex problems.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of relevant industry experience with deep knowledge of 802.11 MAC/PHY protocol
  • Domain expertise with the TCP/IP suite of protocols
  • Strong experience with Python scripting
  • Experience with iPerf, Ixia, and Wireshark
  • Software engineering experience with C, Objective-C, or C++ is highly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Benchmark and characterize new connectivity features to enhance system performance
  • Measure and analyze Wi-Fi and Bluetooth system performance for coexistence scenarios
  • Build lab setups that simulate different system conditions
  • Develop scripts and tools to aid in performance analysis
  • Debug and analyze issues by examining different layers of the protocol stack
  • Understand the impact of interference on Wi-Fi and Bluetooth performance
