Job description
Apple is seeking talented engineers for the Operations team to support iPhone Final Assembly. The role focuses on ensuring new products are manufacturable and involves working through all phases of product engineering. Candidates will engage in process engineering, failure analysis, and data evaluation for new products. This position requires collaboration with international partners and a commitment to quality and efficiency in manufacturing.
Requirements
- Meaningful experience of 3+ years in introducing products into manufacturing or high volume production.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a similar field.
- Excellent project management skills, including planning, cost management, and delivery.
- Direct experience leading functional engineering teams such as Mechanical, Electrical, or Test.
- Experience working with international OEM partners.
- New product introduction and Manufacturing Operations experience.
- A Master's degree or MBA is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Provide early and ongoing manufacturing involvement to ensure new products are mechanically manufacturable.
- Work through all phases of a product from concept to repeat manufacturing to end of life.
- Provide production support engineering with respect to technically complex testing methods, procedures, and failure analysis.
- Design and develop technically complex processes to improve quality and efficiency.
- Plan, develop, and implement technically complex procedures for testing and evaluating soon-to-be-released products.
- Travel internationally approximately 25% of the time.
