Job description
The role involves leading a team focused on ensuring high quality and reliability in Apple's products and technologies. Quality Engineers will engage early in the development process to enable new technologies across Apple products. They will drive quality improvement actions and develop plans to validate and verify product quality at each development milestone. This position requires a blend of technical and management skills to work effectively with suppliers and ensure mass production capabilities.
Requirements
- 5+ years of people management experience
- 10+ years of industry experience in product development, enclosures, castings, plastic parts, glass parts, injection molding, tooling, jigs, fixtures, or high-volume quality manufacturing engineering
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or equivalent
- Master's degree or MBA in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or equivalent
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Finance/business acumen to understand cost drivers and manage quality costs
- Experience with reliability methods and quality sampling methodologies
- Third party production quality and process management experience
- Experience working with customers
- Project management experience
