Job description

The Data Software Engineer will be part of the Apple Silicon Technology group, focusing on designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data infrastructure and software systems. This role involves collaboration with data scientists, analysts, and product teams to create reliable and high-performing data solutions. The engineer will bridge the gap between software engineering and data engineering, constructing robust data pipelines and analytics platforms. The position is crucial for enabling the organization to derive valuable insights from extensive datasets.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Three or more years of experience in software development with a focus on data systems.
  • Proficiency in Python programming language.
  • Experience with Oracle SQL and database design principles.
  • Experience with Linux operating systems.
  • Proficiency in version control systems (Git).
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Experience in semiconductor or high-tech research and development (R&D) and manufacturing environments.
  • Master's degree in computer science, data engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in data engineering or data-focused software development is preferred.
  • Experience with Cassandra NoSQL database is preferred.
  • Familiarity with machine learning workflows and machine learning operations (MLOps) practices is preferred.
  • Experience with data visualization tools and business intelligence platforms is preferred.
