The Software Developer Productivity team at Apple is seeking an experienced Software Engineering Program Manager to lead cross-functional technology initiatives within the Core OS Platform Services and Operations EPM team. This role focuses on driving software operations quality and efficiency by collaborating with various teams, including Software Engineering, Quality, and Development Operations. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and possess strong communication and organizational skills. Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in program or project management in software development.
- Knowledge of software engineering standard methodologies and related dependencies.
- Familiarity with components of Computer Architecture and Operating Systems.
- Excellent spoken and written communication skills tailored to multiple audiences.
- Strong organization and multi-tasking skills with great attention to detail.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to build trusting relationships and influence others.
- Experience in Build and Release Engineering / Release Management.
- Project Management experience in the software development life cycle.
- Understanding of software build pipelines, merging, test systems and methods, and the delivery of code.
- Familiarity with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery.
- Experience with DevOps Lifecycle Improvement Initiatives.
- Knowledge of analytics tools such as Splunk or Tableau.
- Knowledge of operating system internals architecture skills and experience.
Responsibilities
- Create and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and status documentation for Ops and Workflow initiatives.
- Collaborate with large cross-functional stakeholder groups.
- Serve as a liaison to communicate information regarding requirements, changes, milestones reached, and other pertinent information.
- Present and communicate new feature initiatives, top issues, risks, and critical achievements to executive leadership.
- Drive focus to critical path deliverables and track execution of dependencies.
- Coordinate complex and highly dependent groups of changes through build and integration systems.
- Act as a liaison with the Build EPM team around software program deadlines and milestones.
- Proactively identify risks to software delivery, develop mitigation strategies, and facilitate resolutions.
