Job description

The iPhone Division is looking for a dedicated Power Management engineer to join their engineering team focused on developing the next generation of iPhone products. This individual contributor role involves designing, implementing, and integrating various Power Management subsystems. The engineer will collaborate with internal teams, Contract Manufacturers, and IC vendors throughout different development stages. A strong background in low-power product design and experience in consumer electronics is preferred.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
  • 5+ years of industry experience
  • Strong communication skills
  • Experience in switching mode power supply, linear power supply, PMIC, system power architecture, charger, battery gas gauge, BMU, and camera flash drivers
  • Experience in prototyping circuits and products in the lab
  • Masters or Ph.D in Electrical Engineering or equivalent

Responsibilities

  • Plan system and subsystem power and IO trees
  • Draft and review datasheets
  • Conduct IC design reviews and track bugs
  • Develop IP and review schematics and layouts
  • Support prototype bring up and debugging
  • Assist with production testing and system bug tracking
  • Perform functional and parameter bench verification including automation scripting
  • Characterize signals
  • Provide some manufacturing support
