Job description

The Electrical Engineer position in the Camera Hardware Electrical Engineering group focuses on the electrical design and integration of camera systems for Apple products. The role involves solving complex challenges related to analog circuit design, high-speed signal integrity, and power management. The engineer will work within constrained physical environments to deliver high-quality camera hardware optimized for mass production. This collaborative role requires a proactive approach to drive the development of future camera technologies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a relevant field of study.
  • Experience in analog and digital circuit design including schematics capture and supervising layout for substrates, rigid PCB, or flex.
  • Knowledge of layout strategies for substrates, rigid PCB, flex, or rigid-flex including material selection and noise suppression.
  • Experience with high-speed interfaces such as MIPI, DisplayPort, HDMI, and PCIE.
  • Hands-on lab experience with hardware bring-up and debugging.
  • Experience with high volume consumer electronics design for manufacturing, testing, and reliability.
  • Knowledge of CMOS image sensors, ISP, or image processing.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Solve complex challenges at the intersection of analog circuit design, high-speed signal integrity, and power management.
  • Deliver technically excellent camera hardware that meets industry standards for performance and quality.
  • Collaborate with a cross-functional team to drive the development of future camera technologies.
  • Conduct statistical data analysis and visualization to support design decisions.

Benefits

  • Employees at Apple are often offered comprehensive benefits that support physical and mental well-being—flexible medical plans, confidential counseling, onsite wellness centers at major campuses, and resources for fitness and daily life. Families typically receive fertility support, paid parental leave with gradual return, caregiving leave, and dependent-care guidance, while financial perks commonly include stock grants (with purchase discounts), 401(k) matching, and income-protection coverage. Employees also see robust time off, Apple University learning and tuition reimbursement, donation matching and paid volunteer hours, and deep product and partner discounts.
