Job description
The role is for a full-stack software engineer on the Worldwide Developer Relations Engineering team at Apple. This team focuses on building apps and tools to support the developer community using modern technologies. The engineer will work on both frontend and backend features for web applications, ensuring high availability and streamlined services. The position requires collaboration with various teams to deliver innovative solutions that enhance the developer experience.
Requirements
- BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or an equivalent degree with at least 7 years of relevant experience.
- Expert knowledge of HTML, JavaScript/TypeScript, and CSS.
- Familiarity with backend languages such as Swift, PHP, Ruby, or Go.
- Proficiency with template engines such as Smarty Templates.
- Experience with SQL databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL.
- Strong hands-on knowledge in a Unix/Linux environment.
- Excellent debugging and critical thinking skills.
- Experience creating frontend applications with JavaScript libraries such as React or Vue.
- Experience developing RESTful APIs using design-first principles like OpenAPI.
- Understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code process automation using Terraform, Pulumi, or alternatives.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop innovative frontend and backend features for web applications.
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical designs.
- Adhere to best practices of software development, including code reviews and automated testing.
- Interact regularly with engineering teams, UI/UX designers, and management.
- Deliver complex, high-quality solutions within tight deadlines.
