Job description
The Engineering Project Manager (EPM) will support the User Privacy Team at Apple, focusing on delivering high-quality user experiences with privacy as a core value. This role involves managing project definitions, schedules, and statuses for various projects. The EPM will collaborate with team members across engineering, legal, marketing, design, and leadership to ensure timely delivery of privacy-focused products and services. The position requires strong leadership and organizational skills to navigate complex projects and drive teams towards successful outcomes.
Requirements
- At least 8+ years of Project / Program Management experience in software development life cycle
- Experience developing project plans and managing complex, cross functional projects
- Experience delivering customer-facing software features or projects from concept through delivery
- BS/MS or equivalent experience
- Excellent written and verbal presentation skills
- A track record of quickly understanding technical concepts in a wide range of fields
- Demonstrated ability to provide succinct, accurate executive summaries of project status and complicated engineering situations
- Ability to navigate through, find clarity in, and lead teams through ambiguity
- Ability to track and manage numerous, unrelated parallel activities
- Ability to mobilize, encourage, influence, advocate for, and lead teams without direct authority
- Superior collaboration, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to create, drive, and document repeatable processes and resources
- Flexible, self-motivated, curious

Responsibilities
- Develop processes and manage project definitions for new and ongoing projects
- Communicate project achievements and schedules to stakeholders
- Create plans and drive the team to execute on those plans
- Set goals and expectations for project outcomes
- Remove roadblocks to ensure timely delivery of projects
- Influence and build relationships with team members across various functional areas
- Ensure that all products and services are designed with privacy in mind
- Track and account for the privacy team's work
