Job description

The Technical Data Product Manager at Apple Media Services will lead the marketing data landscape across various Apple services, including Apple Music and Apple TV. This role requires collaboration with Marketing, DS&A, Engineering, and Privacy teams to ensure reliable and privacy-compliant data for measurement and growth. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in technical product management and data engineering, particularly within digital media or subscription services. The position emphasizes solving complex data engineering challenges and delivering solutions that support critical business decisions.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in Technical Product Management, data engineering, or data science, preferably in digital media or subscription.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with Python and PySpark.
  • Deep knowledge of client-server analytics tracking strategies and marketing instrumentation.
  • Hands-on experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or Vertica.
  • Experience with data pipeline design, ETL development, and data transformation best practices.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in Engineering, Computer Science, or Business Information Systems.
  • Knowledge of data governance, privacy principles, and global regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the marketing data collection and dataset strategy for Apple Services.
  • Unite Marketing, DS&A, Engineering, and Privacy teams to deliver reliable data.
  • Ensure data is privacy-compliant for measurement, attribution, and growth.
  • Design and implement data pipelines and transformation processes.
  • Oversee dataset design, including projections, aggregates, and metadata.
  • Solve data engineering challenges and deliver solutions for business-critical decisions.
