Job description

Apple is seeking a senior level design engineer to lead technical engagements with silicon and IP suppliers on innovative technologies. The role focuses on all phases of silicon development, including micro-architecture specification and both pre-silicon and post-silicon activities. Requirements

  • BS in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • 20 years of relevant experience
  • Proven experience in digital and mixed-signal integrated circuit design
  • Hands-on experience with front end and back end digital tool suites
  • Deep knowledge of EDA tools and managing design complexity
  • Demonstrated experience in integrated circuit design and engineering leadership
  • Strong communication and program management skills

Responsibilities

  • Drive and lead technical engagements between Apple and silicon and IP suppliers
  • Oversee all phases of silicon development including micro-architecture specification
  • Manage pre-silicon activities such as simulation, emulation, and verification
  • Handle post-silicon activities including bring-up, validation, and characterization
  • Direct multi-functional debug efforts and crisis management
  • Ensure product development and productization tasks for high volume manufacturing
