This role requires a technically skilled computer science professional who can work autonomously within a small team in a fast-paced environment. You will have the opportunity to shape critical services that enhance the safety and communication capabilities of millions of Apple device users. Strong collaboration and communication skills are essential as you will work with various cross-functional teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
  • 7 years of experience in software engineering.
  • Deep understanding of core computer science concepts, including algorithms, data structures, operating systems, distributed systems, networking, and concurrent programming.

  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Go, Java, and Python.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-growing team environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • DevOps experience is a plus.
  • Master's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Work on the satellite network that provides connectivity for Apple devices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and shape software solutions.
  • Design and implement scalable cloud services from the ground up.
  • Adapt to a rapidly changing environment and tackle ambiguous challenges.
  • Contribute to the development of critical services that enhance user safety and communication.

Benefits

  • Employees at Apple are often offered comprehensive benefits that support physical and mental well-being—flexible medical plans, confidential counseling, onsite wellness centers at major campuses, and resources for fitness and daily life. Families typically receive fertility support, paid parental leave with gradual return, caregiving leave, and dependent-care guidance, while financial perks commonly include stock grants (with purchase discounts), 401(k) matching, and income-protection coverage. Employees also see robust time off, Apple University learning and tuition reimbursement, donation matching and paid volunteer hours, and deep product and partner discounts.
