Job description
As a GNSS Measurement Engine Firmware Engineer, you will be a vital part of Apple's innovative GNSS design team within the Cellular SoC team. The focus of this role is on defining firmware architecture and developing software for ultra-low-power GNSS systems. You will work on digital signal processing software and infrastructure software that enhances GNSS receiver design. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree and 10+ years of relevant experience.
- 10 years of embedded software development experience using C, C++, and scripting languages such as MATLAB and Python.
- 5 years of product development experience in wireless communication, GNSS, or a related industry.
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Geomatics is preferred.
- Familiarity with microprocessors such as ARM and RTOS, as well as driver development for PHY hardware and peripherals.
Responsibilities
- Define firmware architecture and document the firmware design.
- Develop, test, and integrate infrastructure software for GNSS systems.
- Implement digital signal processing software for GNSS applications.
- Perform low-level driver development and hardware bring-up.
- Interact with hardware and SoC design teams to implement diagnostics and manufacturing tests.
