This team focuses on black-box testing that simulates real-world customer usage across Apple products. The role involves evolving the team's approach from periodic manual testing to a comprehensive, continuous view of software quality. The manager will foster collaboration and innovation while integrating AI-driven automation and data insights into the quality process.

Requirements

  • BS in Computer Science, BS/BBA in Management, or 4+ years of equivalent software quality engineering experience
  • 2+ years of experience in a managerial or team leadership capacity
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Creative thinker and strong problem solver with meticulous attention to detail

  • Demonstrated experience leveraging Generative AI to create and optimize testing products and automation
  • Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python) for test automation and data analysis
  • Experience with objective and subjective analysis techniques

Responsibilities

  • Lead the User Experience Quality team in assessing end-to-end use cases that matter most to customers.
  • Drive the evolution of User Experience Quality from periodic manual testing to a holistic quality product.
  • Champion innovation that amplifies the impact of the team's testing efforts.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement within the team.
  • Integrate AI-driven automation and data insights into the quality assurance process.

Benefits

  • Employees at Apple are often offered comprehensive benefits that support physical and mental well-being—flexible medical plans, confidential counseling, onsite wellness centers at major campuses, and resources for fitness and daily life. Families typically receive fertility support, paid parental leave with gradual return, caregiving leave, and dependent-care guidance, while financial perks commonly include stock grants (with purchase discounts), 401(k) matching, and income-protection coverage. Employees also see robust time off, Apple University learning and tuition reimbursement, donation matching and paid volunteer hours, and deep product and partner discounts.
