Job description

Join Apple's Wireless Technologies and Ecosystems team as a key member of the Cellular Layer1 Control Software team. This role focuses on developing innovative embedded software for cellular chipsets in Apple products, enhancing user experience and pushing the boundaries of wireless technology. You will work collaboratively with other product development groups to create groundbreaking cellular technologies that solve everyday problems for customers. Requirements

  • Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • 0-3 years of experience in software engineering principles using C and/or C++.
  • Experience with Real Time Operating Systems (RTOS) and concurrent programming.
  • Working knowledge of computer architecture with emphasis on HW/SW interfaces of high-speed communication subsystems.
  • In-depth hands-on experience with real-time, embedded cellular 3G/4G/5G PHY L1 Software/Firmware.
  • Strong knowledge of embedded real-time control and advanced digital signal processing (DSP).
  • Experience in software verification and hardware validation utilizing scripting and/or automation frameworks.
  • Experience debugging embedded software systems using system simulators, spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, and JTAG debuggers.
  • Experience with silicon prototyping, emulation systems, and virtual platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop core cellular technologies that address customer needs.
  • Disrupt traditional models of the cellular ecosystem to enhance user experience.
