Job description

The Silicon Engineering Program Manager (EPM) role at Apple involves driving silicon program schedules and resolving technical issues to ensure timely delivery of innovative silicon technologies. This position is part of a dynamic team within the Silicon Engineering Group, focusing on new silicon product development for Apple's SoCs. The EPM will collaborate with multi-functional teams to address silicon issues from initial bring-up through production release. This role requires strong leadership skills and the ability to influence team members while managing complex schedules.

Requirements

  • BS degree and 10+ years of relevant proven experience
  • Experience in SOC / VLSI Chip Design, Post Silicon Validation or Product Engineering
  • Post-silicon debug experience
  • Top level SoC architecture and associated IPs knowledge
  • Experience with ARM architecture and leading silicon projects from concept to production
  • Proven track record of managing sophisticated, multifaceted schedules
  • Working knowledge of software development processes and methodologies
  • Current knowledge of pre-si modeling platforms such as FPGA, simulation, and emulation
  • Excellent spoken and written communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Work on an EPM team responsible for driving technical issue resolution to enable timely silicon delivery.
  • Drive internal program processes to guarantee high quality silicon execution.
  • Interface and drive silicon issues across multi-functional teams including Design, Verification, Validation, Technology, System Hardware, and Software.
  • Focus silicon and multi-functional teams on meeting near term work and unblocking technical issues.
  • Drive technical sessions with cross-functional teams to supervise and follow up on issues and escalations.
  • Report focused issues, track bugs, and communicate program risks and status.
