Job description
The Operations Program Manager (OPM) at Apple is crucial for launching products on time with high quality and maximum customer availability. This role involves leading the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) operations team and collaborating with various functional organizations within Apple. The OPM must excel in program management, communicate effectively at all levels, and thrive in a dynamic environment. The focus is on ensuring product manufacturability and quality while managing component readiness and factory equipment budgets.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in manufacturing, process engineering, or product development.
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering field.
- Results oriented with attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to present to management.
- Technical expertise and prior OEM management experience.
- Experience with AI/ML, Machine Learning, LLM, robotic process automation, or quantum computing is preferred.
- A master's degree or MBA is considered a plus.
Responsibilities
- Lead the OEM operations team in planning and executing development builds and new product ramps.
- Drive ramp readiness with engineering, operations, and OEM teams.
- Plan capacity and lead the factory equipment budget.
- Handle component readiness to ensure part availability, quality, and cost.
- Communicate requirements and schedules to facilitate technical readiness with supply chain teams.
- Influence product manufacturability, testability, and supply chain responsiveness in pursuit of low cost and flexibility while stewarding quality.
- Lead all communications, upward and downward through the organization, raising key issues and options for resolution with executive teams.
- Travel 20-25% as required.
